Y'all ~ We carry a great line of Texas Style BBQ Sauces - Original and Pecan - We LOVE the Texas Wild Products and our customers do too!
Yesterday, we wanted to sauce up some "lil' smokies" and we were out of sauce. So we whipped up our own and I have to share it with you - darn good - we sopped it up with bread and licked our fingers!

If you like Texas Style BBQ Sauce - this one is true Cowboy Style - the blend of peppers are amazing ~ it's SPICY!

2 teaspoons bacon grease
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup enchilida sauce
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon Doc Kendrick Jalapeno Granules
1/8 teaspoon Doc Kendrick Habanero Powder
1/8 teaspoon Doc Kendrick Elk Rub

In a large saucepan, heat the bacon grease over low heat. Add the onion, garlic and cook, stirring, until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the tomato sauce, enchilada sauce, sugar, lemon juice, spices and Worcestershire. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring often to prevent sticking, until slightly thickened, about 45 minutes.
