"Lot's of Bacon. Nice thick cuts from the butcher. The ends are shoved down the neck of the chicken so that the fat drips into the beer can. The rest of the bacon is pinned to the skin. I find that the bacon fat helps flavor and crisp the skin."

I have just started smoking ribs. Two years smoking beef, and my first time smoking pork, this last Memorial Day. I am doing a pretty good job for a greenhorn. We just held out 3rd annual "rib off" for restaurant servers and bartender's, and it drives me nuts when come in 3rd place out of four contestants when I am the only one smoking.
