I smoked a pork butt just before Thanksgiving, it was my first and I thought I never was going to get it done. About 14 hours on the smoker but it sure did turn out good. Best pulled pork I had ever had! Hope I didn't just break my arm! Forgot…
I noticed the tall pines in the background in one of your pictures. I'm from Horry County but life in Central Texas and mostly smoke brisket, ribs, turkey and sausage. Really miss the pulled pork. Keep Lexington County smoked.

Ryan, Follow the link posted by Phil McMillan. That is open pit. I built a pit above ground that works the same but can be used when a ground pit would be half full of water.
I've had it about 13 to 14 years. I started out with one almost like yours. I have some pictures but will have to scan them in to show you. I bought a new scanner 3 months ago and haven't hooked it up yet!!
Have a good day, Can't…
I think I could do some real damage with a smoker like yours. How long have you had it? I am a bit limited with mine. I love it and it works great, but it is not as big as I'd like.
I don't know if my first try worked or not.
Anyway, I have been smoking meat for about 20 years and I am having a 4th of July picnic for the employees at my office. Hopefully about 25 to 30 will show up. I will have Brisket, Sausage, Baby…
