I just got notice in the mail the the Madison Indiana Ribberfest will be on August 21-22 this year. Tried to get a campground reservation and campground was booked up. Will keep trying to find a campsite and attend. I had fun there last year. Maybe…

I have a 4.5 lbs boneless pork loin. I just finished injecting the loin with apple juice, rubbing with Texas Beerbecue rub, wrapped in plastic wrap and it is now sleeping in my fridge. I plan to cook on my CG Duo using Kingsford Hickory charcoal,…

Mike, I do not think there is any difference between the two, other than the gas grilling side. The charcoal side I think is the same, but maybe a few inches smaller. My two cooking areas are 22" x 21" I think. The steel construction is…

How well does the Chargriller duo hold the heat? I have the Chargriller Superpro with the side firebox and it took me a while to get it just right. How much can you smoke at one time?

Hi Lionel, I have had a regular CharGriller smoker for about 5 years and I love it. The metal isn't as thick as the top dolar smokers, but for what you pay for a CharGriller it's well worth the money. I'm in California so I don't…

Hi Joe, I was going for the Smokin Pro and then I heard about the Duo. I still do some gas cooking, but I do have to admit it is getting less and less. The idea of using the side burner to light the charcoal chimney is quick, great, and easy. Makes…

I have only had my CharGriller for about 6 weeks, so it is still early. As far as the gage of the steel, I cannot be certain, but I can tell you that with the firebox on it takes two hands to lift and take baby steps to move. It is steel and cast…

Hi Denny, First all, great news on your weight loss! I'm trying the old fashion way of losing, need to drop about 200 probably. How is the durability of the CharGiller Duo as well as metal thickness? I am in the market for a new grill so I am…

You keep up the good work! I really don't eat that much when food is done( I pick all day). I do like to sit back and listen for the silence and smiles when people are eating my food( that really makes me even happier). Stay healthy Denny and…

$6.00 off coupon for Kingsford charcoal

Posted on April 26, 2009 at 12:00pm 1 Comment

Go to this address - http://www.gatherroundthegrill.com/coupon.php?store - and print the coupon to receive $6.00 off of a bag of Kingsford charcoal, 12 lbs and larger. Can print as many as you wish, no limit, and good through 2009. I just bought two bags at Wal-Mart, $7.49 each minus $6.00 = $1.49 a bag. SCHWEET!

Man it turned out great.. I started out with Kingsford briquets, then added soaked hickory & lump charcoal every hour. Took about 6 hours total. Once it was done, i pulled it using 2 forks.. I drizzled it with a white vinegar/red pepper/pork rub seasoning & put it on a bun. Day 2 heated it back up and drizzled a lil bit a Montgomery BBQ sauce on it.. Tasted so good it made my head tilt!!

Man all of your food looks amazing! I am really drooling!! I am going to grill some beef ribs very soon. Is there anything special I should know? I am thinking about a basic rub and indirect grilling as I do my babybacks. What do you think?

that sound really good, your making me hungry. Try this just once and let me know. Ok. wash and dry potatoe, split down center, but don't go all the way through. slice a fresh onoin. Now put generous amount butter( I like country crock),in the middle and cover with garlic powder(not salt), some pepper and the onion slice. wrap in foil and cook till tender and enjoy.
