I, being a griller, obviously love meat.  But I have many vegetarian friends, and while I have a decent tool box of straight up grilled veggies, I've been thinking about trying my hand at some meat replacement foods to see if I could bring some BBQ joy to the life of my vegetarian/vegan friends.  Has anyone played at all with grilling tofo or seitan or other "meat replacement" foods?  And if so, wanna share?

This is one of my favorites.  Just take right out of the freezer and onto the clean greased grill.  Grill like a regular meat burger just long enough to heat it throughGARDENBURGERS

l lb. mushrooms, quartered
1 cup diced onion
1/2 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup brown rice, cooked
1/2 cup shredded low-fat mozzarella
2 taps shredded low-fat cheddar
2 Tbsp low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
dash pepper
2 Tbsp cornstarch
Olive oil cooking spray

Add 1/4 cup boiling water to Bulgar wheat and let sit for 60 minutes. Steam
mushrooms for 10 minutes and then steam onions. Keep separated.

Add 1/2 cup of water to the oats and let them soak for about 10 minutes. Drain
off excess water from wheat and oats, then combine grains with mushrooms, rice,
cheeses, and spices in food processor (pulse 4-5 times) add onions and
cornstarch and mix well. Preheat oven to 300 F and set large skillet over

Shape 1/2 cup mixture into patty. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until light brown.
After all patties are cooked, arrange on baking sheet (lightly oil sprayed) and
