Hello Texas Grillers: Just wanted to remind everyone that next Saturday, May 16th is the day for the Texas Steak Cook Off in Hico. Texas. Hico is a historic old west town located about 70 miles southwest of Ft. Worth at the intersection of Texas 6 and U.S. 281.

Last year's cook off was featured on the Food Network Challenge show featuring Chef Keegan and as a result of the popularity of that show, this years competition is going to be HUGE!!! Eight-two teams from around the county will be competing for the top prize of $2,500 and braggin' rights about being the best steak cooker in Texas. I'm the “Grillmeister” and co-founder of the Monster Meat Cooking Team. If you come to Hico next Saturday, please stop by our area and say "hi" to me and the rest of the gang.
