Tailgating

For everyone who loves to tailgate as much as the team they are supporting and the food they make just for the occasion

Those of us who have been to a major sporting event get there many hours before the event actually started only to fire up the grill and get some serious food started and were not talking about a fast snack were talking about some full course meals with all the trimmings . I have seen some really impressive meals prepared that would make your mouth water and your stomach rumble with hunger and the competition in the parking lot is as good as the event itself is. So if you love to tailgate and would love to share your stories about the event you attended and the food you prepared then this is the place to do so.
Happy Tailgating

The 2-Slabs of Baby Back Ribs are Marinating, the smoker is ready and the Admiral Nelson’s Rum is just waiting for Saturday’s barbecue. Everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend.

What happened to those Kansas City Chiefs? Did someone forget to bring the defense to Denver?

Raul, Go Rangers Go! My mom said the city of Arlington, TX was a wild city last night. Good luck with your tailgating today.

Butts have been on since 4 this morning, ribs go on at noon and the chicken around 5:30 for a 6:30 pig out and a 7:30 kickoff of the South Carolina Gamecock football season against Southern Mississippi. Life is good:)

Just rubbed down the ribs and butts and put them to bed for the next 24 hours til it is time to break them out, put them on to smoke and be ready for the kickoff of South Carolina vs Southern Miss tomorrow night. FOOTBALL IS HERE FOLKS.

Started planning my menus for the upcoming football season this week. Going to try and vary it a little more this year. Stuck with mainly pork last year. Gonna throw in some fish, chicken and beef brisket this year along with the old standby classic baby back ribs and pork butt. And don't forget the Italian sausage wrapped in a web of hickory smoked bacon.

Scott,

I agree with you about weekends and Sundays especially in the football season. Beer, Barbecue, the Blues and FOOTBALL.
