Please don't start throwing rocks at me.

I was raised and learned from my father that the only seasoning needed for grilling steaks is salt and pepper. If you want to add additonal "flavor" do it after the steaks have been grilled.
I select my steakhouses by there lack of (marinate, seasoning or spicing). I love the taste of the beef, get it beef, not loaded with additional flavors. "Where's the Beef"!

well said!
I agree.. Sea salt & fresh cracked black pepper...
I use salt, fresh ground back pepper, and a little garlic powder. I love the taste of the beef too.
I 100% agree!!!!
Keep it simple, stupid! that's my motto
My ex put hines 57 sauce on her stakes, made me cringe, but hey everyone to their own taste. Mine is simply beef. Now that being said think I will go buy me a ribeye for the evening.

Amen brother!! Gotta date with a pretty asian girl and a PORTERHOUSE, my damn self.
PS. The beefs on my grill.....about 44 juicy ass ounces :-)
I hear you throw out the steak sauce, enjoy the REAL beef flavor but, you can still preserve that while taking an open approach to seasonings.
