I do know alot of people that automatically put something on everything they eat e.g. steak sauce, ketchup, whatever. I did work in a steak house that made its own sauce. I only remember the wierd golden currants and anchovies in it. It tasted alot like A-1.
As far as homemade BBQ sauce I just buy the cheap stuff at Big Lots or Dollar General and doctor it up. I learned that from a competitiom BBQ cook. I am not big on making the same way every time. I just trow a little this a little that.
I also worked in a messican restaurant so I make a killer salsa.

Permalink Reply by H.L. "Hobby" Neely on July 26, 2011 at 1:34pm watching one of the cooking networks I saw a peppercorn sauce made with peppercorns, cream, and pan drippings for a steak...maybe I will go that route.
