Not sure if this has been a topic or not.

I had my first natural grown GFB recently. What a flavor difference from feed lot beef, a little more costly but damn worth it.

Let me know your thoughts.

i totally agree. can't always afford to, but every now and then i splurge and get it. had a nice, thick grass-fed rib eye from the local Whole Foods Market a while back and it had to have been one of the top 3 steaks to come off my grill. not only was the flavor better, but the texture and tenderness, as well. seemed to really work well with my simple marinade, too (if you're wondering, i season it with sea salt and cracked black pepper, poke holes in it with a fork, then hit it with some soy sauce, garlic and onion powder, flip and repeat).

I know alot of people from the mid-west that would disagree. They all rave about Omaha Steaks and how they are grain fed. I assurred them that pretty much anything you get from Wal-Mart is grain fed. That it is a cost and fatten up quik deak more than flavor that through marketing everyone was led to believe it tastes better. I grew up on a farm, we always keep a steer to slaughter.
I find that if the GFB is aged 21 days and then marinated to perfection...the taste and the texture is great...Our family finishes on corn grown with IPM practices...I prefer the corn finish because of the sweeter finish and the marbling.
