I like to spray apple juice on my pork butt during the smoking process, but I was wondering if there was any thing else people like to use.

I mix the apple juice with apple cider vinegar and beer. I spray it not only on my pork but chicken and meat as well.

I thought about adding some thing extra to it like a mild jalapeno in the bottle to see if it adds anything to it

I've used 100% apple cider to spray on my ribs as the citrus to help the smoke penetrate... and 100% apple juice.  Not sure I've noticed a difference in taste.  Also used the apple juice and cider to soak my applewood chips... once again, not sure if there is a real benefit in taste

If you're looking for moisture try a brown sugar brine over night.  I use a packed cup of dark brown sugar per gallon of water.  You can always add herbs and spices to you brine as well.
