Hello All, let me say a little more about myself since I've recently joined this group. I don't currently have an opperating business, but I'm beginning the process of opening a BBQ Supply retail store in GA. The going is a little slow because I now work in VA and my home is in GA, where I plan on opening the store.
I've noticed that there are not that many stores where people can walk in and get everything they need to BBQ at home or for competition teams. I plan on being close to I-75 with easy off/on access to the interstate.
I want to have a large selection of rubs, sauces and marinades developed by competition BBQ teams, and cooks from around the country.
I think people would rather be able to go into a store and look at things and taste samples instead of just buying on line.
What do you think?

I don't generally smoke ribeyes, I grill them with a couple chunks of mesquite on the coals for the flavor. At that thickness, I would keep the steaks over the coals long enough to get good grill marks on both sides, and then move away from the coals to get your desired doneness without burning the steaks. We love 'em this way and I can get everyone's favorite doneness.
