Anyone from the New England area going to the Eggfest in NH on the 25th?

I just bought a new cast iron grill grate from Craycort cast-iron-grates.  Has three seperate grill surfaces that are removable for easier fire and wood management.  Really nice and already seasoned.

Does anyone use a stoker or bbq guru?

Hey Johnny W & Dave Maxwell,

Welcome! I can't speak for everyone, but, all of us ceramic BBQ lovers, owe it all to the Japanese and their Kamado. That's where it all began. The #3 kamado is one fine cooking machine. Pricey but very nice.

Hello All! I don't have an egg but I do own a ceramic cooker! #3 Kamado. I love it. One of my favorite toys to play with. I'm sure you all feel the same way about your egg. Since there is no group just for ceramics I'll hang out with you guys!

WELCOME GLENN.  KEITH HIT IT ON THE HEAD WITH WHAT WILL FIT ON A LARGE EGG.  I HAVE ALSO DONE "BEERCAN" TURKEY WITH A 15 POUNDER.  STANDING IT UP ON THE CAN MADE IT SUPER MOIST AND THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH CLEARANCE

Hey Glenn,

Welcome aboard. Either is a good choice. It really depends on how much you BBQ at a time? I find that the large accomidates very nicely for family size BBQ's. I have done up to 5 whole chickens or 3-4 whole pork shoulders or butts for that long slow BBQ.
